Why Meridian Exists

The Meridian Awards exist to recognise exceptional artistic work through human evaluation.

In a musical landscape increasingly shaped by visibility, metrics, and automation, Meridian was created to place artistic merit back at the centre of recognition.

Works are evaluated through structured human listening, with emphasis placed on originality, artistic identity, emotional authenticity, creative ambition, and cultural resonance.

Meridian does not reward popularity, virality, or commercial performance.

It exists to honour meaningful artistic work.

Music judged for artistry, not algorithms.

Receive updates on submissions, finalists, announcements, category launches, and selected artistic highlights from The Meridian Awards.

The Meridian Process

Every submission is listened to, assessed, and recognised through a transparent human evaluation process.

I. Blind Evaluation

All submissions are assessed anonymously, without access to artist identity, streaming figures, label affiliation, or public profile.
